By Car
Take I-95, Exit 193 (formerly Exit 51), Stillwater Avenue/Old Town. Turn
towards Burger King and shopping center. At the
traffic lights on the corner of Stillwater and College
Avenue (Kentucky Fried Chicken & McDonald's on corners) turn right
onto College Avenue. Proceed for approximately 1 mile on College
Avenue, turn left after the Alfond Sports Arena onto the University of
Maine Campus (Munson Avenue). The road winds around the field house (big "M' on building
and bear statue on the front lawn). Continue on this road, Jenness Hall
is the only non-red brick building on the right.
By Plane
Bangor International Airport, 12 miles from the University of Maine, is
serviced by several major airlines. Contact your local travel agent for
specific flight arrangements. The flight time to Bangor is approximately
45 minutes from Boston and 2 hours from New York or Montreal. All major
car rental agencies are represented at the airport. Taxi service is also
available.
By Bus
Greyhound Bus Lines and Concord Trailways Bus Lines accommodate Bangor
daily with frequent north-bound and south-bound trips. The city bus
system offers transportation to the University of Maine campus.
