Available Services - Testing

Our controlled environment room provides a variety of tests to characterize the properties of pulp and fibrous raw materials for papermaking. Additional test devices and wet lab facilities are available to serve client needs with tests ranging from the mundane to the state-of-the-art.

Pulp and Fiber EvaluationCapabilities

Pulp and Fiber Evaluation
Fiber quality affects product quality and paper machine efficiency - uptime and yield. Lack of accurate fiber quality leads to disagreements between pulp mill and paper mill personnel.

Pulp quality relates to the fundamental properties of the pulp that affects its performance in the final paper network and also to the operation of the paper machine.

Paper Evaluation
Paper EvaluationPaper testing is conducted in a temperature and humidity controlled room meeting standard specifications. The facility has tests for classical paper test procedures as well as equipment to evaluate formation, stiffness, and Scott Bond, among others.
